The Intersec Forum begins on the second day of Light + Building Autumn Edition and accompanies the leading international trade fair for lighting and building technology in its Intersec Building section in Hall 8. The fifth conference for connected security technology offers four intensive conference days with expert presentations and discussions. Decision-makers from the planning, installation and operation of connected security systems will take advantage of the opportunity for information and professional exchange with manufacturers, developers and researchers. Messe Frankfurt’s partner for conference and topic planning is ZVEI-Services GmbH.
Preview of the conference topics 2022
From 3 to 6 October 2022, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, discussion rounds, expert lectures and exhibitor presentations will focus on the challenges of integrated safety technology in the building of the future. The presentations will be simultaneously translated in English. The conference topics at a glance:
Monday, 03 10 2022: Business models / Semantic interoperability
Security applications, building automation systems and communication systems - these are three examples of major sections and their networking in buildings. The challenge is to run them interoperable. To achieve this, experts must bring together the still different, partly proprietary, partly standardised protocols and interfaces on a uniform interface with ergonomic user surfaces. . Another requirement is resilient system openness in terms of cyber security. Security technology is thus developing into an interdisciplinary topic that requires competences from a wide range of disciplines. Two discussion rounds will be devoted to these new challenges on Monday, 3 October 2022:
- "Who owns the future in the market for safety technology?" Participants include Dr Peter Fey, Managing Director, Wieselhuber & Partner; Alexander Yeomans, Smart Infrastructure Solutions & Services Portfolio, Siemens Germany and other speakers.
- "Cacophony in the building and what does security technology have to say?" With, among others, Axel Schüßler, Co-Founder and CEO, IoT connectd
Tuesday, 04 10 2022: Video Technology / Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The second day of the conference will focus on the existence and evaluation of masses of digital data. Automated data evaluation in real time - by means of artificial intelligence (AI) - and the cloud-based integration of systems bring as yet unexploited possibilities for the control of flows of people and the anticipation as well as prevention of security situations. Key words are: tracking and predictive security. The highlights on Tuesday, 4 October 2022 are:
- Discussion panel "Video technology and AI: On the way to predictive security?" with Jochen Sauer, Axis Communications, among others.
- Expert presentations by Alexender Harlass, AZENA, Eagle Eye Networks and many more.
Wednesday, 05 10 2022: Access control / alarm systems / call systems
Fingerprint, iris scan or voice identification already make payment transactions more secure as biometric features and unlock access to the smartphone or tablet.. Biometrics as a form of authentication is therefore tailor-made for smart access control in sensitive infrastructures, commercial buildings and rooms, and in residential environments. The technical challenge can be met using Building Information Modeling (BIM) methods andnew concepts for remote services of alarm systems. This step is associated with data protection aspects. In addition, the networking of the alarm systems must be ensured.
The highlights on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 provide the relevant know-how:
- Discussion panel "Biometrics in buildings: what is possible, what is useful?"
- Lectures by Martin Bemba, Managing Director of the ABUS Security Center, as well as speakers from Assa Abloy, TAS and others.
Thursday, 06 10 2022: Fire protection
Fire protection concepts are a must: they save lives, increase safety and can reduce construction, operating and insurance costs. For building owners and planners, this means familiarising themselves with a complex technical subject. Both of them are responsible for the implementation of these regulations and do best with the integrated planning, implementation and regular inspection of a comprehensive fire protection concept. Digital assistance is available: Because connectivity, remote services, and digital operations books help manage these responsibilities. The latest technological and regulatory developments in the field of fire protection will be the focus of the highlights on Thursday, 6 October 2022:
- Discussion panel "Fire protection in the context of building refurbishment".
- Technical presentations by speakers from Bosch Sicherheitssysteme, Ei Electronics, Lupus Electronics, Siemens, among others
